To ask the Manager if signs could be put up in the Woodford area to discourage dumping and littering?
To ask the Manager to arrange that the dog warden service has a more visible presence in the Woodford / Knockmitten area of Clondalkin. A resident reports an upsurge in dog ownership there and asks that signs could be put up in relation to the issue of cleaning up after dogs, the wearing of muzzles, the necessity of having dogs on leads etc. Also could the dog warden service be more proactive in the enforcement of the law in this regard.
To ask the Manager to arrange the cleaning of the Castlebagot Road, Baldonnell, particularly at the bend on the left and the ditch on the right where rubbish is being dumped?

That the Clondalkin Area Committee asks SDCC Management to contact the relevant bodies regarding the serious litter problem in the environs of the Red Cow interchange and Luas car park.
That the Manager reports on the issue of the litter blackspot which exists on the banks of the Camac river behind the railings at the civic offices in Clondalkin. This issue has been raised frequently before yet it persists.
Parks
Questions
To ask the Manager what is the situation with regard to the under planting around the trees on Orchard Lane, Clondalkin? Many residents who pass through the village have commented on how dull it was last year with very few flowers as compared to the lovely display in previous years. Will pedestrians have flowers to look forward to as we exit the civic offices this year?

That a report be presented on the possibility of a skate park being established in Corkagh Park.
That this Committee requests the Manager to arrange that all traffic driving within Corkagh Park is strictly monitored, no vehicles allowed into the park unless absolutely necessary and only within given times, i.e. 8 to 10 am or 4 to 5 pm. The barrier at the entrance to the park should be kept locked and keys issued to SDCC staff and open/closed as required.
That the Manager looks into the possibility of building a footpath from the Melrose/Lindisfarne/Deansrath Estates to connect with the new Grand Canal Cycle/Walk Way. At present the only paved access is from the Outer Ring Road. If there was a paved access from the frontage of these estates it would make the canal walk way more accessible for families, cyclists etc.
That the Manager presents a report on what this seasons plans are regarding maintenance and planting of the roundabouts, beds and containers in and around Clondalkin Village.
Roads
Questions
To ask the Manager with regards to the request from St Brigid's Road, Clondalkin, residents association for the painting of double yellow lines at St Brigid's Park, will the lines be painted as per the request from the residents association and when will that happen?
To ask the Manager what is the situation with regard to the obsolete and very unsightly telephone boxes in the centre of Clondalkin Village? They are becoming a health and safety risk. I am referring particularly to one outside the Laurels Pub on New Road, one opposite the Steering Wheel Pub on Main Street and one outside Tesco on Convent Road. Who is responsible for removing these and can the Council please ensure that this is done?
To ask the Manager to undertake a condition survey to identify trip hazards and paving defaults in the Ronanstown area of Clondalkin?
To ask the manager to consider either of the following to alleviate the grass verge destruction at the New Nangor/Ninth Lock Roads Junction adjacent to Michael Collins Park-
a) Increase the kerb height and reinstate the grass margin
b) Remove the grass margin and widen the road to lengthen the left turning lane?

That the Manager would present a report on the current situation with regard to improving pedestrian safety on the Old Nangor Road between the Mill Shopping Centre and Coláiste Chillian, Clondalkin.
That this Committee receives an up to date response from the relevant body (NRA / Kildare County Council) with regard to the N81 upgrade including when the decision is being made in relation to Mount Seskin. I would be grateful if the Roads Department would obtain this information in time for the next Local Area Committee Meeting, rather than waiting till the Meeting to then contact the relevant bodies.
That the Manager will arrange for the removal of two redundant telephone kiosks in Clondalkin Village, one on Main Street and the other outside the Laurels on New Road. This action was previously committed to in May 2011.
That this Committee request the Manager to investigate traffic calming measures on St. Patrick's Road, particularly around the shops area.
That the Manager provides an updated report on the situation with regard to the issue of trading from the street in Main Street, Clondalkin. The latest items to be suspended from the shutters and displayed outdoors for sale are toilet seats and bathroom mats. These added to the large array of ladies clothing, hula hoops and a multiplicity of other items sway in the wind above the bales of toilet roll and washing powder. The Easter eggs will no doubt be in situ on the pavement before the date of this meeting and all presided over by shopkeepers on seats on the public pavement. Is all this in accordance with regulations and if so can it be explained to me again please.
That this Committee requests traffic calming measures along Monastery Road on either side of the entrance to the Round Tower GAA grounds.
Development & Water Services
Questions
To ask the Manager to confirm that the piece of land at the corner of St John's Road and St John's Wood and beside the pedestrian gap is in fact in Council ownership? Previously, the Council has informed the residents group that the land is in private ownership. However, can it be confirmed, as per information supplied by the treasurer of the residents group that the land was in fact transferred to the ownership of the Council in September 2003? Full details of the transfer have been supplied to the Manager.
