To ask the Chief Executive if there are particular strategies or initiatives that the Council can take to tackle persistent fly tipping and illegal dumping in specific areas.
To ask the Chief Executive to outline process for clubs to get access and permission to use a pitch that is managed by the Council?
To ask the Chief Executive if an update can be provided in relation to how Service Level Agreements with utility companies are progressing the removal of graffiti across the South Dublin County Council area.
To ask the Chief Executive how many residents associations and voluntary groups are currently enrolled with the Council's Community Clean-Up Programme?
To ask the Chief Executive if he will consider initiating discussions between the NTA, SDCC and developers of new estates to provide temporary parking overflow spaces on the basis that infrastructure such as Dart South West and Bus Connects have been delayed beyond 2030?
To ask the Chief Executive whether he considers that South Dublin County Council has a statutory duty of care to introduce emergency traffic management measures to alleviate parking pressures in higher-density estates?
To ask the Chief Executive to clarify the Council’s policy on the use of artificial intelligence in preparing written responses to councillors and TDs.
To ask the Chief Executive to report, in tabular form, the average waiting time for Council tenants on the transfer list before receiving an offer, broken down by 1, 2, 3 and 4-bedroom homes.
To ask the Chief Executive to provide a report, by LEA, on the number and location of public bins and bin sites available for public use.
To ask the Chief Executive for a report on the number of people currently on the social housing waiting list in the county broken down by areas of preference.
To ask the Chief Executive for a report, in a tabular format, on the approximate number of years that people are waiting to be housed, on various waiting lists, including the standard, medical priority and homeless lists.
That this Council calls on the Chief Executive to allow social housing tenants to submit maintenance requests by phone, recognising that many residents may have limited digital skills or access.
That this Council recognises that Irish reunification is an objective of Bunreacht na hÉireann; notes the growing national discussion on constitutional change and the role of the Good Friday Agreement 1998 in providing for unity referendums; further notes the recommendations of the Joint Oireachtas Committee report Perspectives on Constitutional Change: Finance and Economics; and agrees to write to the Taoiseach requesting that the Government plan and prepare for Irish unity by establishing an all-island Citizens’ Assembly and Joint Oireachtas Committee on Irish Unity, publishing a plan in consultation with civic society and key stakeholders, engaging with northern Protestant and unionist opinion, and working to secure a date for the unity referendums provided for in the Good Friday Agreement.
