That the Manager would present a report on the current situation with regard to improving pedestrian safety on the Old Nangor Road between the Mill Shopping Centre and Coláiste Chillian, Clondalkin. 

REPORT:

The Council commenced a consultation process with local interests in relation to the improvement of pedestrian facilities at this location in 2011 at the request of the members.  At the time it was felt that a one way system was the most suitable and cost effective solution.  However because of the number of representations received it was decided to re- examine the matter and consider a number of alternative options.  A survey is being carried out at present and following the results, these options will be developed and consultation will then take place with all stakeholders to select the most suitable one.
