MOTION: Councillor T. Ridge

That this Committee request the Manager to investigate traffic calming measures on St. Patrick's Road, particularly around the shops area.

REPORT:

In response to a large number of requests for traffic calming measures throughout the Council’s administrative area the Council’s Transportation Strategic Policy Committee adopted a Traffic Calming Programme comprising of four schemes in each of the Council’s five electoral areas. The selection of each individual scheme will be made by the relevant Area Committee.

St. Patrick's Road is on the traffic calming request list for the Clondalkin electoral area.

The Clondalkin Area Committee will examine this list if and when selecting further traffic calming schemes. However, the Council has no budget for traffic calming measures in 2012.
