QUESTION: Councillor T. Delaney

To ask the manager to consider either of the following to alleviate the grass verge destruction at the New Nangor/Ninth Lock Roads Junction adjacent to Michael Collins Park-

a) Increase the kerb height and reinstate the grass margin

b) Remove the grass margin and widen the road to lengthen the left turning lane?

REPLY:

There is no funding allocated to carry out the roadworks described above.  It is noted that the Roads Act 1993 prohibits the driving or parking on a grass verge and as such this becomes a matter for the Gardaí to enforce.
