"That this Committee notes ongoing concerns expressed by residents about the extent of anti-social activities in parts of Waterstown Park, Palmerston requests the Manager to provide a report on the actions taken to ameliorate this problem, including co-operation with An Garda Siochana."
"That this Committee requests the Manager to present a detailed report on any changes being proposed to deliver more frequent cleansing of the litter & dumping blackspots identified by elected members ahead of; and at the briefing held in April on foot of my previous proposal; and further noting the concerns expressed in particular regarding issues the vicinity of the Ballyowen Castle area, requests the Manager to facilitate a meeting between elected members, officials and representatives of the owners and/or management of commercial premises in the Ballyowen Castle area, so as to allow for discussion of the issues of concern in the area."
"That this Committee requests Management to investigate the feasibility of putting a dog toilet close to the car park in Waterstown Park on a pilot basis and if it proves satisfactory it could be replicated elsewhere in the County. This is a facility that works well in other countries and should be easier and more economical to service than the footpaths through the park which are a total disgrace most of the time."
"That this Area Committee supports the request by Lucan United FC, supported by local residents and Scoil Mhuire, to install a fence around one of their allocated pitches at Airlie Heights so as allow the club to host home games at intermediate level and to facilitate the continued development of the club; and therefore requests the Manager to actively and positively engage with Club to agree the terms of a lease for the pitch in question to allow for installation of a fence, with a view to presenting a proposed lease to the elected members for approval."

"That the Manager would present for discussion at the meeting a report on the current status of the work of the Roads Department to develop Taxi Bye-Laws for Lucan Village and an improve Taxi Rank and Taxi Waiting system in and around the Village Green."
"That this Area Committee requests the Roads Dept., in partnership with the Parks Dept. to conduct a single comprehensive review of damaged verges and footpaths at Esker Drive and the entrance stretch of road to Canonbrook Avenue, with a view to both identifying and implementing necessary repair works (so as to eliminate trip hazards and restore grassed areas) and to further examine the potential benefit of installing bollards to prevent future damage, thereby reducing the future costs to the Council in line with the objectives of the Council's public realm initiative."
"That the Manager will take measures to address the concerns of residents in Ardeevin regarding congestion from parked cars arising from visitors to the nursing home."
That this Committee being very concerned at the inadequate learning facilities at St Thomas' and Scoil Aine Naofa Schools, and both the Senior and Junior Archbishop Ryan Schools, Lucan, which is due to overcrowding and unsatisfactory classrooms, which by now are bordering on the unsafe, request that the Manager write to the Minister for Education and Skills asking him to have the situation in these schools reassessed and to have the long promised building programme fort these schools started as a matter of urgency.
"That this Area Committee, noting that approximately 3,000 children and young people attend the three primary schools and two secondary schools located north of the N4; further noting however that the vast majority of these children and young people live south of the N4; requests that this Council prioritise efforts, in conjunction with National Transport Authority, to seek to introduce measures to increase the percentage of children and young people travelling to/from these five schools by sustainable modes; including, for example, measures such as: school bus services. pedestrian/cycle safety measures along Grange Castle Road and measures to improve the safety and perception of safety in the vicinity of Willsbrook Park N4 footbridge."
"That this Committee is very dissatisified that the grass on the dual carriageway between the County Boundary and the M50 interchange has not been cut yet this year and calls on Mangement to arrange a schedule of cutting/maintenance. It is noted that the section between the Oval and the City boundary was very well trimmed recently."

"That this Committee notes the stated intention of An Post to provide an additional local Post Office in "the Lucan /Clondalkin" area, affirms its view that an additional Office should be located to serve residential areas in Lucan which are a considerable distance from the existing Offices in Lucan Village and the Dodsborough Road, and requests the Manager to write to An Post seeking information on the current status of the new Post Office project, and the criteria to inform a decision on the location of the additional Post Office."
"That this Area Committee commends the Minister for Education and Skills for the progress to date in commencing developments planned under his Departments' five year school building programme. However, this Committee further expresses its concerns over the continuing omission from this programme of five well-established Catholic-patronage schools in the Lucan area; and therefore calls on the Department of Education and Skills to:
- Conduct an audit of the cost-effectiveness and suitability of maintaining pre-fabs on site at Archbishop Ryan JNS & SNS in Balgaddy and at St. Thomas NS & Scoil Áine Naofa at Esker;
- If, on foot of this audit, it is considered appropriate to replace the prefabs, then proceed to provide (through devolved grants if appropriate) the funding to develop extensions or additional shared standalone buildings to accommodate each school's additional requirements;
- In the case of St. Mary's Girls NS in Lucan Village, to request that the school's long-standing request for a refurbishment and an integrated extension to join-up the two separate buildings be reviewedand granted; and
- Finally; again requests that officials of the Department 'Planning & Building Unit' meet with members of this Committee to review school-planning policy in the Lucan area; and this meeting take place before the elected members of this Council would be asked to consider any land disposal to Department for school developments in the Lucan area. "
