QUESTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

"To ask the Manager to agree that as part of the next applications for water services capital funding to include an application for funding for provision of a gravity sewer at Old Lucan Road and rising main connecting to the Quarryvale Pumping Station; and to outline if any previous applications have been made for this project:"

REPLY:

It is highly unlikely that South Dublin County Council's Water Services Department will be lodging an application for Capital Funding this year but if an application is lodged this scheme will be mentioned but it will be subject to a value for money assessment by the Department of the Environment. It is likely that ultimately Irish Water will be deciding if this scheme is viable.
