MOTION NO. 10

MOTION: Councillor G. O'Connell

That this Committee being very concerned at the inadequate learning facilities at St Thomas' and Scoil Aine Naofa Schools, and both the Senior and Junior Archbishop Ryan  Schools, Lucan, which is due to overcrowding and unsatisfactory classrooms, which by now are bordering on the unsafe, request that the Manager write to the Minister for Education and Skills asking him to have the situation in these schools reassessed and to have the long promised building programme fort these schools started as a matter of urgency.

REPORT:

If the Motion is approved a letter will be issued to the Minister for Education and Skills and when a response is received the Committee will be notified accordingly.
