"That this Committee notes the rapid increase in enrolment of students in Adamstown Community College, Lucan, recognises that a very substantial number of students currently enrolled, and to be enrolled in September 2014, are from, parts of Lucan other than Adamstown, particularly in the area known as Lucan South and in the areas covered by the Catholic Parishes of St. Patrick's and Divine Mercy, and realizes that that Adamstown Community College has addressed and continues to address a shortage of 2nd Level places for the area of Lucan south of the N4, and requests the Manager to write to the Department of Education and Skills, the DDL LETB and Castlethorn Construction urging the three parties to come to an agreement at an early date on the provision of a School/Community Sports Hall at Adamstown Community College?"

"That this Area Committee, notes the 'Interim Mobility Management Plan' submitted as part of the planning application (recently granted permission) for a permanent extension to Scoil Mhuire Girls NS at Old Lucan Road; and particularly notes the findings that at least 65% of trips to the school are from areas south of the N4; and that 56% of pupils indicated that they travel to school in a car; and requests the Manager and the National Transport Authority to proactively support measures to greatly improve the levels of travel to school by sustainable modes, in particular for trips between both sides of the N4; including, if feasible, through the provision of a supervised school bus service."
