MOTION: Councillor E. Tuffy

"That the Manager would give an update on the numbers of housing applicants with addresses in the Lucan Electoral Area who are seeking to be housed in Lucan and will the Manager make an application to the Department of Environment and Local Government for funding to build new Social housing in Lucan and if he will make a statement on the matter."

REPORT:

There are a total of  7,696 applications on the Council's Housing List.  Of these 1,095 have addresses in the Lucan Electoral Area and have expressed a preference for the housing area - North of the Naas Road which includes the Lucan area.
