"That this Committee being very concerned at the condition in which children have to attend classes in sub-standard accommodation in a number of schools in the Lucan Area, request that the Manager write to the Minister for Education and Skills in support of the campaign by these schools to have permanent and good quality facilities provided as a matter of urgency."

REPORT:

Arising from a discussion on  Motion 2 at the October Meeting of the committee (CMAS 37436), a letter was issued to Mr. Ruairí Quinn, Minister for Education and Skills on 23rd October 2013. In the absence of a response a further letter was issued on 9th December 2013. A response from the Minister is awaited.  If the motion is approved a further letter will issue to the Minister in this regard.
