"That this Committee calls on the Chief Executive to arrange to have the sides of the bridge on the climbing frame in Tymon Park covered in as it presents a danger to young children."

Mot (2)
Submitted by:
Councillor S. Holland
Responsibility:
Mairead Hunt

"That the Chief Executive report on the fact that Whitechurch FC were allocated a junior pitch adjacent to the existing senior pitch beside the community centre by SDCC.  This has never materialised.  I submit that we vote on having the resources allocated to have the pitch set up. The club are currently using the school pitches which they have to maintain themselves and this is not a permanent arrangement, rather a goodwill one which can be removed at any time."

Mot (3)
Submitted by:
Councillor A-M. Dermody
Responsibility:
Michael Hannon

"That the Chief Executive update this meeting as to the progress to date with regard to the playspace initiative for the Ward. It is fair to say that the initiative across the County and most notably within the Rathfarnham Ward has not been well received by residents. Two suggested locations that from my instructions would welcome a playspace might be around Stocking Avenue and indeed this suggestion has been made by me and accepted by the Manager at earlier RAC meetings, a second suggestion would be in Glendoher Park, there is unlikely to be the same level of opposition from residents as Glendoher Park is sufficiently away from individual houses as not to draw concerns that the space might be a magnet for anti-social gatherings."

Mot (4)
Submitted by:
Councillor D. Looney
Responsibility:
Leo Magee

"That this Committee mandates a concerted and concentrated programme of work to remove the high levels of graffiti, including particular tags, in the area under its remit through direct Council labour and through liaison with other agencies and companies. This Committee requests a detailed report at its meetings in October, November and December detailing the work carried out on this specific issue."

"That the Chief Executive present to this meeting the viability or otherwise of working with Irish Water specifically when repairing footpaths following meter installations and where those same paths are already in poor condition. A collaborative approach ought to be taken between the Council and Irish Water where footpaths are agreed to be in a poor state of repair, and that Irish Water would make a payment gesture to the Council for it to repair the entire of the footpath and not just the patch worked on by Irish Water. There are obvious savings to be made in organising repair work in this way."
