QUESTION NO. 2
QUESTION: Councillor Sarah Holland
"To ask the Chief Executive to report on the rats in Rathfarnham Castle playground and childrens park. Has poison been laid recently, or please advise what measures have been taken to limit their spread?"
REPLY:
The area to the rear of the Children's playground and in the vicinity of the ornamental ponds at Rathfarnham Castle Park were both baited to control the rodent problem in these areas on the 27/8/14 last. The situation will be kept under review in the future and the appropriate action taken to deal with any increase in the rat population, as necessary.
