QUESTION NO. 16

QUESTION: Councillor Sarah Holland

"To ask the Chief Executive to report on the windows and doors that need to be replaced in Whitechurch Estate and Pearse Bros Park.  Please advise what the schedule of works is, or whether these will be completed on a case-by case basis. Some residents have never had windows or doors replaced and some are in a very poor state of repair?"

REPLY:

There are currently 913 applications on the window programme, 49 of these are in the Rathfarnham Area and 43, of which are from the Whitechuch Area. 42 of these are graded 5, which means they qualify for replacement.   In addition 7 have already been replaced this year and 6 are in progress and two more will be completed by end of year.  There are none on the list from Pearse Bros Park.  This programme is operated on a case by case basis and by date order of application, the rent account being either clear or tenant adhering to an official arrangement for a minimum period of 6 months and having no anti social issues. It should be noted that the list is live and added to each year through tenant contact.  Priority is also given to applicants with serious medical conditions.
