"To ask the manager if the twice-monthly Green Bin collection will apply to communal bin sheds in mixed housing developments?"

"To ask the Manager to have arrange for contact to be made with the retailers at Kingswood Shopping Centre, in view of the on-going litter problem at and around the Shopping Centre and while recognising the recent difficulities in installing litter bins throughout the County, would the Manager consider the installation of a number of litter bins at the pedestrian area to the rear of Kingswood Shopping Centre leading down to Ashfield?"

“To ask the Manager to confirm that the water supply to Deselby, Blessington Road, Tallaght, was recently cut off for a 12 hour period from Sunday September 30^th to Monday October 1^st, and that despite clear commitments from South Dublin County Council that people would be informed of this event, that no such information was given to local residents, and would he further accept the deep frustration of people in this community who regularly find that their water is cut off without prior notice, and if he will make a statement on the matter?”

"To ask the Manager why at the design stage of the Fortunestown B development consideration was not given for ANY pedestrian access and egress to and from the estate - now that the estate has begun to be occupied what the Manager proposes to do to address this significant road safety issue and that of safe pedestrian access all along this stretch of Fortunestown Lane now that both Lidl and the Citywest shopping centre are both operational?"

To ask the Manager if there are plans to construct a significant number of infill housing schemes in the Jobstown area along the river and in outlying green spaces - if this is the case to ask the Manager to immediately make contact with the Jobstown Community Council as the mandated entity in the area in order to ascertain local support for such projects?

"To ask the manager to take urgent action to tackle the anti social behaviour emanating from the open space (located beside Deerpark Rise and Cushlawn) between two housing estates?"

"To ask the Manager to clarify, confirm the most recent agreement between residents in Tymon North Park/Gardens, South Dublin County Council and Councillors in relation to the proposed development at Castletymon. In view of such an agreement, can the Manager outline why this development is named phase 1 and can one logically surmise that this Local Authority is proposing a phase 2?"

That the Manager provides a detailed report with respect to the provision of a new community center/space in Kiltalown as agreed during the most recent Part 8 process to provide infill housing at locations on Kiltalown Park and Kiltalown Green, to indicate what delays have occurred to date and how the manager proposes to proceed with this project without any further delays.

• Motion 1

"That this Committee calls on the Manager to arrange for the handover of the Community Facility on Deerpark Road to Circle VHA on behalf of Kiltipper Management Company with immediate effect, with a view to the Community being able to avail of this facility as it has been lying vacant for almost three years and is attracting anti-social elements to the area".

That the manager arrange a site visit with the Tallaght South Councillors at the location of the open space between Deerpark Lodge and Cushlawn as a matter of urgency as it is necessary to secure this location against the persistent Anti-Social Behaviour residents have to endure emanating from this site.

This Committee demands the immediate opening of the community facility on Deerpark Road.

• Motion 4

That the Manager undertakes a significant review of all estates in the Jobstown area with a view to providing a significant refurbishment programme along the lines of regeneration programmes undertaken elsewhere in the city.

"To ask the Manager to remove without any further delay the graffiti that has been evident in and around the Jobstown playground for many weeks now, to outline how he will ensure a speedier response to this problem if it occurs going forward and to investigate the possibility of providing a mural in the playground designed and worked by local children and young people?"

"To ask the Manager to confirm when it is proposed to commence the restoration/re-building of Killinniny Tower, given that this work has been promised for many years and that funding has been committed in the Parks Works Programme in 2007 and in previous years but no substantive works have been carried out?"

“To ask the Manager to set out his plans, if any, in respect of the existing area which adjoins the pedestrian footpath between Woodlawn Park Drive, and Woodlawn Park Avenue, and given the express local concern in respect of the overgrown condition of the trees and shrubs in this area, if the Manager would put in place a project to improve the area by way of specific works in the context of the Parks Works Programme, and if he will make a statement on the matter.”

“To ask the Manager to confirm that the area of public open space in Bancroft Park, adjacent to the Greenhills Road, have now been cleaned up and restored following the endless incursions on this land by a local developer, who was building nearby apartments, if the Manager recognises the extreme concern felt in the local community in connection with this ongoing building work, and if he will make a statement on the matter?”

“To ask the Manager if he could set out exactly what works now need to take place at the entrance to Dodder Valley Park, off the new Firhouse Road, as a means of bringing the area up to a standard that was agreed with residents before the new Firhouse Road was established at this location, the exact timetable involved for these works, and if he will make a statement on the matter?”
