COMHAIRLE CONTAE ÁTHA CLIATH THEAS
SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL
MEETING OF TALLAGHT AREA COMMITTEE 1

QUESTION NO 18.
QUESTION: Councillor K. Warren
“To ask the Manager to confirm that the area of public open space in Bancroft Park, adjacent to the Greenhills Road, have now been cleaned up and restored following the endless incursions on this land by a local developer, who was building nearby apartments, if the Manager recognises the extreme concern felt in the local community in connection with this ongoing building work, and if he will make a statement on the matter?”
REPLY:
The Parks Department has recently met with the developer responsible for the service installations in the area of public open space at Bancroft Park to discuss the reinstatement of the area. A snag list of works to be undertaken by the developer has been agreed to restore the open space to its original condition and the developer is to engage a landscape contractor to undertake the reinstatement works under the supervision and to the satisfaction of the Parks Department.
