MEETING OF TALLAGHT AREA COMMITTEE 1

Monday, November 19, 2007

QUESTION NO 17.

QUESTION: Councillor K. Warren

“To ask the Manager to set out his plans, if any, in respect of the existing area which adjoins the pedestrian footpath between Woodlawn Park Drive, and Woodlawn Park Avenue, and given the express local concern in respect of the overgrown condition of the trees and shrubs in this area, if the Manager would put in place a project to improve the area by way of specific works in the context of the Parks Works Programme, and if he will make a statement on the matter.”

REPLY:

There are no plans at present to undertake development works along the pedestrian footpath between Woodlawn Park Drive and Woodlawn Park Avenue. The matter of a general tidy up of the area can be addressed through the routine programme of maintenance works undertaken by the Parks Department. However, the Residents Association for the area can contact the Parks Department if they wish to discuss any proposals or suggestions they may have for improvement of this pedestrian link.
