QUESTION: Councillor C. Jones

"To ask the manager to take urgent action to tackle the anti social behaviour emanating from the open space (located beside Deerpark Rise and Cushlawn) between two housing estates?"

REPLY:

There have been some reports of Anti-Social Behaviour at this location. Estate Managementare endeavouring to deal with this unacceptable behaviour. If the Councillor, or local residents, have any information they should furnish the details to Estate Management, who will investigate the matter thoroughly. The Council has been unable to date to ascertain who the perpretrators of this unacceptable behaviour are.

The Housing Department and the Architectual Services Department are looking to try and improve the open area at this location. It is proposed that works involving, tree-planting, hedge planting,and a retaining wall have been proposed. Prior to this working being undertaken consultation with the local residents will be carried out, through the local Estate Officer.
