MOTION NO. 3
MOTION: Councillor M. Corr
That the manager arrange a site visit with the Tallaght South Councillors at the location of the open space between Deerpark Lodge and Cushlawn as a matter of urgency as it is necessary to secure this location against the persistent Anti-Social Behaviour residents have to endure emanating from this site.
REPORT:
The Council has received some reports of Anti -Social Behaviour at the area between Cushlawn and Deerpark of youths gathering and throwing stones in the locality. The Allocations Support Team have investigated these complaints to try and eliminate this behaviour. Unfortunately the Council have not received sufficient information that would lead the Council to identify the perpetrators. If the Councillor, or any local residents, has any further information on who is causing the problems, they should notify the Estate management Officer for the area, in confidence.
A solution to the problems identified at the sloping area is currently being examined by Housing Department, Parks Department and Architectural Sevices Department. It is proposed that works involving retaining wall, tree-planting, hedge planting, would be carried out.
Prior to this work being undertaken consultation with local residents will be carried out through the local Estate Officer.
If the Councillors wish to meet on site it will be arranged.
