This committee asks that the Chief Executive introduce defibrillator signage, more of these machines are being introduced to the area as it continues to grow. And given we have been awarded tourist destination this would be ideal time to start introducing them.
That this Area Committee calls for the expansion of the Ronanstown Garda Sub-District to include all of Palmerstown and that letters to this effect be sent to the Garda Commissioner.
This committee requests that the Chief Executive write to the Minister with responsibility asking that the Inspection Centres for small vehicles, which are already governed by strict regulations and have an excellent track record, be availed of to address the back log in NCT services.

That the manager make the necessary provisions to ensure that the council-owned playground at Quarryvale Community Centre, is fully utilised and made available at weekends providing access for local children.
That the Chief Executive arrange for increased frequency of the road sweeper/litter picking on Shancastle Avenue as previously requested by the ACM, and to request that the road sweeper cover cul-de-sacs and all corners of the roads in Shancastle as litter builds up in the corners and doesn't get collected by the sweeper.
This committee seeks clarification from Chief Executive regarding ownership of all lands in the Finnstown estates (Abbey/Priory/Cloisters). To confirm that South Dublin County Council own and are in charge of all public areas. To advise if there any plans to alter the public spaces/green spaces in the area. Planning/management were recently made aware of surveys being carried out on the lands between Castleview and Finnstown Priory where the boundary separates the two and this same boundary is protected via an SLO in the CDP. To ask Chief Executive what mechanisms are in place to ensure open green spaces remain as open spaces within housing estates and when the council take in charge an area, can it be confirmed if the folio registration is changed to reflect this.
That South Dublin County Council provide a list of dates and locations when jetting and gully clearance has been undertaken in the Woodfarm Estate and Kennelsfort Road areas of Palmerstown.
That this committee commends the ongoing and growing volunteerism by Adamstown Spring / Litter Cleaning Group and in acknowledging such, agrees to the placement of large planter/pots on the central divide on Adamstown Avenue between the stretch at Station Road and Castlegate Way junctions, ahead of the Summer.

The area of North Clondalkin community has expanded over the last number of years and there is a clear need for a dedicated centre for the community. This centre would allow for capacity building, a space for other organisations to locate in and perhaps state agencies to better deliver of much needed services.

Noting the motion previously approved at the full council meeting of December 2020 , can plans immediately commence to introduce a series of no car days in Lucan village
That Chief Executive give an update on when the maintenance and repair of the Christmas lights in Lucan village is to be undertaken.
That the Chief Executive carry out an audit on Finnstown greens re adequate street lights. A motion was passed previously to meet with residents in the Finnstown area to carry out an audit on the street lights which were replaced some years back, which resulted in parts been reduced to darkness. It is hoped that additional/improved lighting can be implemented.

That the Manager amends all road signage (including further incorrect signage on the newly opened Celbridge Link Road) displaying the official Irish name version for Adamstown incorrectly as ´Maigh Arnaí´ as opposed to Baile Adaim, as recorded with logainm.ie - agreed in subsequent correspondence to question (ACM (Palmerstown-Fonthill-North Clondalkin) - Question 9 - 26th April).
That the Chief Executive look at possible options for traffic calming in Wheatfield Drive such as ramps, signs and road markings. Cars are speeding through and making turns at high speeds causing a lot of concerns for parents with young children.
That the Chief Executive clarifies whether the entirety of all the public roads, footpaths and open space in Finnstown Abbey, Priory and Cloisters as indicated on Land Registry map as Folio DN67869F is a) legally in the charge of South Dublin County Council; and/or b) under the ownership of South Dublin County Council; and - in this last respect - further clarifies, if it is in Council ownership, whether there have been, or are currently any challenges to this ownership.
That the Chief Executive look into the introduction of age friendly parking spaces, if these parking spaces could be included in areas around Lucan and in particular as part of planning in newer estates in Adamstown and Clonburris
That the Council commits to immediately amending the current confusing and potentially dangerous positioning of the right turn arrow boxes at the busy school access entrance to Woodview and Airlie Heights, Lucan, off the Dodsboro Road, irrespective of where sensors were laid originally; or hopefully reports on works carried out since this motion was submitted some weeks prior; and if a statement can be made on the matter.

This committee requests that the Chief Executive arrange a separate meeting for local Councillors regarding the proposed amendments on the Adamstown SDZ. The request arises from the many questions I have received regarding the proposed amendments, and further explanation regarding timelines involved, are necessary.
That the Adamstown liaison team takes a proactive approach to securing and facilitating a meeting in the coming weeks between the relevant developer and Somerton Greens Residents Group - if not already scheduled - in relation to finding a workable solution regarding the maintenance and management of lands to the rear of this part of the estate that remain under the legacy ownership and control of the developer, without prejudice to any enforcement orders or proceedings still being adjudicated upon, in the interests of finding a practical and mutually satisfactory outcome for all parties.

This committee welcomes the 12th Lock plans and looks forward to part 8 plans going on display. Its been discussed at various meetings the demand for crèche facilities in the Lucan area and this question seeks commitment from Chief Executive that crèche will be part of the part 8 plans.
