MOTION NO. 7

MOTION: Councillor Derren Ó Brádaigh

That the manager make the necessary provisions to ensure that the council-owned playground at Quarryvale Community Centre, is fully utilised and made available at weekends providing access for local children.

REPORT:

The playground at Quarryvale Community Centre is primarily opened and closed by the Community Centre staff.  Access to the playground is gained by passing through lands within the curtilage of the Community Centre which are gated and controlled by the Community Centre staff. 

The current opening arrangement will be discussed with the Community Centre management to ensure that the playground is opened for the maximum amount of time that can be facilitated by the Community Centre staff.
