MOTION NO. 16

MOTION: Councillor Derren Ó Brádaigh

That the Manager amends all road signage (including further incorrect signage on the newly opened Celbridge Link Road) displaying the official Irish name version for Adamstown incorrectly as ´Maigh Arnaí´ as opposed to Baile Adaim, as recorded with logainm.ie - agreed in subsequent correspondence to question (ACM (Palmerstown-Fonthill-North Clondalkin) - Question 9 - 26th April).

REPORT:

Two of the signs mentioned in the ACM question have been modified to the correct Irish Name.  Images of these are attached to this report. 

The Celbridge Link Road has been recently constructed and opened. The need to amend incorrect signage is noted and will be addressed in a timely manner. 

The traffic section has conducted a survey of the surrounding area and has found additional non-compliant signs.  These will be changed to reflect the correct Irish Name over the next short while.
