Cathaoirleach's Business
That this Council Committee, while welcoming and recognising the necessity of Council involvement in sewer connection difficulties experienced by residents and non Council tenants in Estates throughout this Committee Area, calls on the Manager to review the protocols regarding the issuing of letters outlining the responsibility of other tenants in such difficulties.
That the Manager sets up a task force immediately to deal with the severe environmental hazards being faced by the RAPID areas of Tallaght due to the massive increase in dumping and littering in these neighbourhoods, the task force to include councillors, public realm staff and RAPID reps. and to be action focussed.
That this Council Committee, aware of ongoing difficulties in Swiftbrook Estate regarding the bin collection service, calls on the Manager to give an updated report on the difficulties involved and the efforts he has made to resolve this issue.
That the Manager without delay ensures that household refuse collections resumes within the Swiftbrook Estate.
That a weekly bin collection be resumed immediately to all of the residents who have been without this service since 2009.

That this Council Committee, concerned at the level of illegal dumping at the rear of Kilmartin Avenue and Drive towards Roadstone, the ongoing problems with anti social behaviour, the condition of the laneway, the fire remains and glass on many of the green spaces, notes the delay in supplying the residents with bags and pickers for a clean up and agrees to call on the Manager to organise an onsite meeting in the area.
That this Committee calls on the Manager to give an update regarding the closure of the top of the laneway between Castletymon Shopping Centre/rear of Castletymon Library and the infill houses at St Aongus Crescent, as this location is rapidly becoming an antisocial blackspot.
That this Council Committee concerned at the problems being experienced in some private rented accomodation by serial disruptive tenants in Tallaght and other areas throughout the County and who are registered for housing with this local Authority, agrees to ask the Manager, in conjunction with the Housing SPC, to look at this issue with a view to coming up with a process whereby this type of tenant will be penalised and may ultimatey be removed from this Council list of applicants.
