Public Realm
Questions
To ask the Manager to confirm the ownership of the land outside of the Centra, pharmacy, and traders on St. James Road. I am referring to the area outside where the post box and bus stop are beside the path as it does not appear to be on a maintenance programme with public realm.
I would like to request an update on progress of works at Kiltipper Park and confirmation that both GAA and soccer pitches as well as the playground are nearing completion.
To ask the Manager to advise on whether there has been any recent innovation to public bin design to capture waste more efficiently including the disposal of cigarette butts and further is there shared practice in terms of public bins across the four Dublin Local Authorities.

That the Council implement landscaping works on the green space directly outside the new apartments at the junction of Grange Road and Nutgrove Avenue.
To ask the Chief Executive to provide an accessible tarmac or concrete pathway/walkway from the corner of Delaford Grove to the new community garden in Delaford.
The playground in Whitechurch has been a huge asset for the area. It is my understanding that at the time of development, a relatively small area was identified as a trial to ensure it did not attract anti-social behaviour etc. and could be easily well maintained. As the area has not experienced any negative outcomes from the introduction of the playground, I would like to request review and expansion of the equipment available and size of area being utilised for recreation to further enhance the existing amenity.
To ask The Manager to assist in relation to a Tree Inspection affecting a specific property: Following advice to me in an official rep regarding the property in Orwell Park (Address Provided), the resident has had difficulty trying to find an appropriate professional. Can SDCC recommend a company who carries out this work?
That the Manager cuts back the overgrowth of shrubs at the side of an address in Westbourne Lodge (address provided), area in on council land.
That the path along the river between Springvale and Brookwood estates is scraped back as it's inaccessible to wheelchairs / buggies.

That the Council use its powers under the Derelict Sites Act to tackle the continued dereliction of Ballyroan House Lodge, off Ballyboden Road, Dublin 16. It appears that this site has been on the register of derelict sites since 2014 and continues to fall into further disrepair. It is unclear whether any levies on the site have been collected by the Council. At this point I would call on the Council to consider using its powers to acquire the site and put it into public use.
To ask the Chief Executive to outline an action plan to deal with the anti-social behaviour (fires, illegal dumping and fireworks) along Daletree Drive in the area between Daletree and Stocking Wood.
This committee notes with concern the poor state of the following laneways - Top of Glendoo Close / Tonduff Close / Corrig Close in Dublin 12. The area is covered in weeds, graffiti and litter. This Committee calls on the Council to take immediate action to improve the area.
That this Council removes the graffiti from the wall at Spider Hill at or near the back of Tournville Lodge per photo furnished and please advise as to measures which may be taken to prevent further graffiti at this location
This Committee acknowledges the work and community service provided by Tidy Towns groups and voluntary litter picking groups across the area. This Committee notes a number of new groups have been formed and welcomes and supports their community service. In light of this growing movement, this committee proposes that a half day meeting or event for volunteers to come together to share best practice, network and to promote this work across Rathfarnham, Templeogue, Firhouse and Bohernabreena be arranged and to develop a sense of communities coming together.

That the Chief Executive examine the condition of 59 Main Street, Rathfarnham Village known as Court of Petty Sessions to ensure the property is maintained by the Council and any such works could happen in 2025 in conjunction with local stakeholders.
Transportation
Questions
Can Council management please confirm when pedestrian crossings at the Cypress Grove / Templeville Road roundabout will be installed? It's quite unsafe and difficult to cross there currently and is becoming a no-go area for walkers.
A number of signs in the area appear to have inaccurate translations in Irish e.g. Hermitage estate has differing translations on a number of road signs throughout the estate (either díthreabh which is the correct translation or Eirmeatáiste which is an Anglicisation of the name, and used in Lucan Hermitage) and Whitechurch has Séipéal Bán (which means Whitechapel) rather than An Teampall Geal on the stone at the entrance of the estate. Can I clarify how translations are decided and who would be responsible for recitfying these issues please?
To ask the Manager for an update on the approx number of public lighting outages across Rathfarnham / Templeogue / Firhouse and Bohernabreena and the average time for repairs.

That the Council resurface and install footpaths along the length of Washington Lane, Rathfarnham, and provide upgraded public lighting. Over the years Washington Lane has become a very busy road with increased school and general traffic including cars, bikes and pedestrians using it daily and improvements are required to enhance public safety for children and adults.
That the Chief Executive examines the broken pavement around a manhole on the grass verge outside address on Grange Road, Rathfarnham (Address Provided) which presents a trip hazard.
That the old fence at the entrance to Scholarstown Wood estate be replaced.
That this committee calls on the manager to install a cyclists dismount sign at either end of Templeogue village in order to prevent a serious accident. I suggest at Hollingsworth cycle shop and Templeogue Tennis Club.
That the Council effects the necessary repairs as soon as possible to the manhole and surrounds at the footpath at or near Stonepark Abbey, Rathfarnham (Address Provided), as per the attached photograph, as residents advise that the area has lifted and has become a significant trip hazard.
That the Manager widens the footpath on Bohernabreena Park as you turn off Bohernabreena Road. The footpath is very thin at this junction.
To ask that the Chief Executive inspects the condition of the public road around Edenbrook Park (Address Provided) as there is a significant dip in the roadway in need of repair?
That this Area Committee requests maintenance of dished footpath on Whitechurch Way, per CC1854873 as it's presently unusable and scraping back of path along railings with Grangebrook to allow width of a wheelchair through.
That this Council carries out a badly needed resurfacing of the laneway at the Greenhills allotments and community garden as residents advise the surface is in a hazardous condition and there have been a number of falls recently
Planning
Questions
Would like to seek an update on the progress of the Ballycullen - Oldcourt Local Area Plan; were objectives achieved, what works are outstanding and is there a strategy or plan in place to address these deficits going forward?
To ask the Manager how many applications for the conversion of residential properties to short term lettings (airBnB) have been received in the Rathfarnham / Templeogue Firhouse / Bohernabreena area and how many of them have been granted permission?
