MOTION NO.9

MOTION: Councillor J. Sinnott

This committee notes with concern the poor state of the following laneways - Top of Glendoo Close / Tonduff Close / Corrig Close in Dublin 12. The area is covered in weeds, graffiti and litter. This Committee calls on the Council to take immediate action to improve the area.

REPORT:

The Keadeen Walkway which links Keadeen Avenue with Corrig Close, Tonduff Close, Glendoo Close and St Mel's Avenue is included on the Dublin 12 Laneway Cleaning Programme.  This pedestrian walkway, including the links from it to the areas listed above, was cleaned by staff from the Public Realm Section on October 12th this year.  The area will be inspected in the coming days to establish the current condition of it and identify any issues that require attention at the present time.  The laneway cleaning programme will be carried out again in 2025, the programme with planned cleaning dates will be issued to the elected members in the new year ahead of work commencing.
