That the Council use its powers under the Derelict Sites Act to tackle the continued dereliction of Ballyroan House Lodge, off Ballyboden Road, Dublin 16. It appears that this site has been on the register of derelict sites since 2014 and continues to fall into further disrepair. It is unclear whether any levies on the site have been collected by the Council. At this point I would call on the Council to consider using its powers to acquire the site and put it into public use.

REPORT:

South Dublin County Council monitors this site at Ballyroan House Lodge on an ongoing basis under the provisions of the Derelict Sites Act, 1990. The most recent inspection was on the 30th October 2024. Very recently, the council has established that the ownership of the property has changed. Correspondence will be issued to the new registered owners and any action available under the Derelict Sites Act will be taken.
