That this Council calls on Insurance Ireland to give a definitive answer why Council tenants in Killinarden Estate cannot get proper flood risk Insurance to their homes after the Office of Public Works has completed local flood mitigation works there in 2012. Killinarden is not one of the 300 potential flood risk areas listed by CFRAM and yet is being widely discriminated against by major insurance companies that it is still a flood risk when they apply for home insurance.
