QUESTION: Councillor C. O'Connor

"To ask the Chief Executive to present a report on contacts being made with various Community Centres in the Tallaght area to ensure that such facilities are available to as many people as possibly in the estates covered by the Centres and will he confirm supports being made available for such endeavors?"

REPLY:

The Community Development Teams are in regular contact with Community Centres all over the County including those in the Tallaght area and also represent South Dublin County Counmcil on the Boards of Management of many of these facilities.

Support, advice and assistance is given on a wide range of issues including how centres are best placed to help respond to locally identified needs.

If there is a centre(s) in particular that have made representation for additional supports, please pass these details on and members of the local Community Development Team will follow up with these centre(s).
