Following requests for new school warden crossings, pedestrian and traffic counts were carried out at a number of locations by the road safety section.

The below locations in Tallaght were assessed;

• Glenasmole school
• Saggart
• Cookstown Rd
• Ballycullen Drive
• Fortunestown Lane

The warrant for a school warden crossing was not reached at these locations.  Fortunestown Lane was forwarded to the traffic section to be assessed for the possible provision of traffic signals.

Scoil Chaitlin Maude's new school within the Hazelgrove estate will be assessed to see if a school warden crossing is appropriate.
