“To ask the Manager if he would consider providing an access to Sean Walsh Park at a point close to the new residential areas of Ellensborough/ Deerpark/ Marlfield, so as to allow residents in this new area to use the Park and to allow children attending St. Martin’s Primary School from this area to gain easy access to the school, and if he would consider meeting parents from the area to discuss this matter in greater detail, and if he will make a statement on the matter?”

"To ask the Manager if the sum of €15,000 was set aside for the purposes of improving the entrance to Monalea Wood from off the Firhouse Road when the Firhouse Road was being widened last year, if this money was ever spent, if in the context of improving the entrance to Monalea Wood, if the Manager would agree to at the very least, cut back on a regular basis, the grass verges on either side of the entrance to Monalea Wood, and put forward a plan to improve this entrance and if he will make a statement on the matter?"

To ask the Manager to state the total number of planning decisions taken by South Dublin County Council in recent years, where a condition or conditions of such decisions require the establishment of a management company to provide and maintain basic services in new residential areas, why it is that South Dublin County Council are demanding that in new residential areas where houses exist as against apartments, that management companies be established, and if he will make a statement on the matter?

To ask the Manager if, in anticipation of the adoption by the Council of the draft Play Policy, he will prioritise the bringing forward of specific proposals for additional playgrounds, and play facilities,  in the County, and have regard to the abysmally low level of playgrounds in South Dublin County, as revealed in the National Audit of Play Facilities published by the National Play Resource Centre, and if he will make a report of the findings of the Audit in respect of the provision of playgrounds in South Dublin County in comparison with national provision, and in particular in comparison with other large urban areas?

That the Lucan/Clondalkin Area Committee notes the Manager's Report on Motion 21 on the Agenda of the Council Meeting of 8th May 2006 and requests the Manager to identify areas in the Clondalkin and Lucan Electoral Areas for which the approval of the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government for pilot Community Warden Schemes will be sought, and to prepare a proposal for the Department, which will be informed by the ongoing deliberations  of the LGMSB and City and County Managers.

In response to representations from residents in the Oatfield & Wheatfield Housing Estates concerning on-going anti-social behaviour displayed by some private tenant's & the irresponsible attitude of some landlords, I move that this Council acts in conjunction with the P.R.T.B & Revenue Department to ensure that all landlords in the area are registered & tax compliant.
