That this Committee recommends that dog litter bins/bags/pooper scoopers be provided in the Rathfarnham Area. I was informed in 2008 that  “the matter is being investigated by the Senior Engineer taking into account the health and safety aspects of handling/processing receptacles for hazardous materials such as dog waste”. If our neighbouring Councils and Councils all over Europe can provide them we should be able to provide them."

I was informed last year that this taking in charge would be finalized by early 2010. To state in the report the last time contact was made with the solicitors and the exact reasons for the delay - as residents are of the view the council is being given the 'run around' or that delaying tacticts are being used to prevent the taking in charge."
