"That this Committee in recogniton of the size of the locality, considers favourably the re-naming of the Rathfarnham Area Committee as the Rathfarnham-Knocklyon Area Committee."

"To ask the Manger what plans are in place for a tidy up of litter along the roads within the Rathfarnham Area, in particular the roads between the Grange Golf Club and the M50?"

"That the Manager provide detailed information concerning all the contact with Utility Companies regarding the removal of graffiti in the Committees Area and details of examples where this co-operation has been put into action - plus details of fines issued to Utility Companies for failure to enforce and details of the Utility companies included in the arrangement/agreement."

"That this Committee discuss (with the aid of a current report) the lack of junk collections in the Rathfarnham Area with a view to developing a realistic programme for the area."

"That the Manager provide assistance to the resident (details supplied) with regard to painting slippy material on the boundary walls of her home to prevent anti-social behaviour."

That this Committee recommends that dog litter bins/bags/pooper scoopers be provided in the Rathfarnham Area. I was informed in 2008 that  “the matter is being investigated by the Senior Engineer taking into account the health and safety aspects of handling/processing receptacles for hazardous materials such as dog waste”. If our neighbouring Councils and Councils all over Europe can provide them we should be able to provide them."

"To ask the Manager to review the fencing barrier in place beside the covered Walk Way across the M50 at the St Colmcille Way. There is a 2 foot gap between the Road  and the covered walk way, it appears meager considering the drop goes straight down in to the M50 road and has the potential to be a safety hazard for both pedestrians & motorist?"

"That the Manager outline the details of the communications and correspondences between the Roads department and Bank of Ireland re transferring the ownership of the illegal roadway in Hermitage to the Council as first highlighted by me a number of years ago - the reply to include details of the correspondences and communications from the Council in this regard."

"That this Committee agrees that a road sign policy be drawn up for residential areas to ensure that signs such as the recent one proposed for Butterfield Avenue are not inflicted on Residents right outside their front door. Furthermore that this Committee agrees that the proposed sign on Butterfield Avenue is not erected until type and size is agreed by this Committee/Council."

"That the Manager urgently pursue the Taking In Charge of the green area known locally as “The Compound” at the entrance to Stonepark Abbey and Longwood Park as the developer intends to build two houses on the site."

"That this Committee recommends that the pedestrian access/exit at Knocklyon Park on St. Colmcilles way be examined with a view to enabling buggies to exit with ease -  they are having great difficulty at present. A queue builds up there in the morning with the numbers of  parents/schoolchildren from Woodstown trying to exit in the morning, also to have the area adjacent to said gate cleaned up and landscaped."

"That this Committee discusses (with the aid of an up to date researched report) the taking in charge of open space in Stonepark/Longwood with a view to speeding up the process. I was informed last year that this taking in charge would be finalized by early 2010. To state in the report the last time contact was made with the solicitors and the exact reasons for the delay - as residents are of the view the council is being given the 'run around' or that delaying tacticts are being used to prevent the taking in charge."
