QUESTION: Councillor C. Keane

"To ask the Manager for an update on the Rathfarnham Quality Bus Corridor and to state with the aid of drawing the relocation and the finish proposed for the wall at Beaufort Downs open space.  (b) to given an update on the request to provide a pedestrian crossing on Rathfarnham Road -  adjacent to Crannagh in conjunction with this QBC?"

REPLY:

The QBNPO are currently reviewing the proposals for the Rathfarnham QBC within the South Dublin County Council Administrative area. The requirements for a bus lane on the Grange Road are being examined and the relocation of the boundary wall at Beaufort Downes open space is being considered as part of this examination.

A signal controlled pedestrian crossing on Rathfarnham Road adjacent to Crannagh is also being considered as part of this examination.

The scheme will be subject to a Part 8 Public Consultation in the next few months and the members will be kept informed.
