QUESTION NO. 17

QUESTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"To ask the Manager for progress on the community garden idea for the strip of land to the rere of Willbrook Park?"

REPLY:

As community gardens are of relatively recent provenance in an Irish context, the Council is exploring the possible structures, legal issues and practicalities under which the concept can be advancd in general in the South Dublin County Council's administrative area and will arrange a meeting in the near future with the residents of Willbrook Park to discuss the proposal and to establish the level of interest and committment to the concept of a community garden in the area.
