QUESTION NO. 12
QUESTION: Councillor C. Keane
"To ask the Manager for the current position on the efforts to regularise title to a portion of lands at Old Knocklyon Road, which has been approved for disposal to the Department of Education and Science as a permanent school site for Gaelscoil Chnoc Liamhn?"
REPLY:
The process to regularise the title to the strip of unregistered land contained in the site is being reviewed but it is likely that the Council may need to wait another year or so to claim a possessory title. In the meantime terms were issued for a temporary letting of the full site designated for the school, to the school authorities as the School were anxious to incorporate the full site due to pressure on space on the existing site. A response is awaited from the School Board/Department of Education and Science in relation to this offer.
