QUESTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"To ask the Manager for progress regarding Edenbrook Manor?"

REPLY:

Edenbrook Manor was developed under planning permission Reg. Ref. S96A/0159 by Clayworth Investments Ltd .       

The legal timeframe for taking legal enforcement action in respect of this development has expired.

Meetings have taken place between representatives of the residents of Edenbrook Manor and representatives of the developers, Clayworth Investments Ltd. to discuss arrangements for the handover of the responsibility of the maintenance and up-keep of the common areas in Edenbrook Manor to a management company controlled by the residents of the estate. 

However contacts with the residents of Edenbrook Manor and the developer had revealed that the issues which have arisen regarding the handover of the estate remain unresolved and that contacts between the parties had discontinued.

Although these matters are beyond the Council's remit, the developer has undertaken, in contacts with the Council, to provide documentation to the residents of Edenbrook Manor which would assist in resolving outstanding matters.
