Given that provisions for a new LPF and its costs weren't adopted into the budget 2022, the community in Lucan still inform us that a requirement for a forum that connects all the relevant stakeholders in matters of community policing is needed. Therefore this committee asks the Chief Executive if Council management would support the establishment of a community forum under a voluntary basis which would be set up in a similar fashion to existing LPF's. only completely voluntary.

That this committee in recognising the essential provision for EV charging points and promoting real everyday tangible change, work with the developers for Clonburris and Adamstown SDZ's, to insist on the implementation of a system of practicable and pedestrian safe points where only on-street parking exists.
This committee agrees via this motion, that lands along the Liffey Valley which are protected by the SAAO policy in our CDP remains protected in current and future plans. Members of this committee will not support any attempt to develop new towns in this area.
That the Chief Executive writes to the Minister for Education and Skills and requests that a meeting be arranged between this Committee and senior officials from the Planning and Building Unit of the Department of Education to look at population trends in the Lucan and Palmerstown Fonthill Electoral Areas necessitating additional school building preparation with a particular focus on the growth of Adamstown SDZ and the commencement of planning applications for Clonburris SDZ.
That this Committee reiterates its support for the Extension of the Special Amenity Area Order at St Edmundsbury to include the lands surrounding the valley up to the Lucan Road and writes to the Minister for the Environment urging action on same.
This committee requests the Chief Executive to examine the boundary between Somerton Walk and adjoining lands. On completion of the development the boundary area has to date been left unfinished, gaps in fencing and its subjected to anti social issues.

To ask the Chief Executive for a comprehensive report on the Laneway Network in Palmerstown to include (a) which lanes are totally under the control of SDCC, (b) which portion of any laneway is owned by a third party and not taken in charge by SDCC. (c) who owns the privately owned portions of the laneways (d) if a laneway has only one entrance/exit can it still be deemed to 'taken in Charge' by SDCC (e) why have the surfaces of many laneways been allowed to deteriorate to the point where they are a hazard to pedestrians and cyclists, and (f) why are the laneways not maintained to a standard where they are free of rubbish, weeds and graffiti?

This committee asks the Chief Executive to provide an update including plans/drawings for the pedestrian upgrade at roundabouts between Esker road and Haydens lane as agreed in previous motions.
To ask the Chief Executive for an update on proposals to provide a pedestrian crossing on the Old Lucan Road for users of Stewart's Care services and in particular to outline what the Council will do to facilitate this given that there are no current proposals for a bus service along this route, as indicated by the NTA at a recent briefing, meaning that funding will not be provided through this medium.

Many young children get involved with these clean-ups and perhaps SDCC could put together a social media post highlighting these clean ups. The post could include stats on materials given out to date.
