QUESTION: Councillor Shane Moynihan
To ask the Chief Executive to set out the number of applications received in the Lucan-Palmerstown-North Clondalkin area for the Housing Aid for Older People scheme, the number successful and the number unsuccessful and the reasons for their rejection.
REPLY:
The Council received a total of 17 Housing Aid for Older People grant applications to date in 2021 for Lucan and Palmerstown- North Clondalkin area. A total of 8 applications have been approved to date with a further 3 valid applications progressing through the assessment process There are 4 incomplete grant applications received in 2021 which require additional documentation in order to be valid submissions. The Council are engaging with applications on the provision of required additional documentation. A total of 2 Housing Aid for Older persons grant applications received in 2021 have been refused with details on refusal set out below.
