MOTION NO. 20

MOTION: Councillor Derren Ó Brádaigh

That the manager carry out an inspection of all the pathways within Hermitage Park, with a view to scheduling a programme of clean up works to clear the paths of embedded leaves, grass -cuttings and debris and to 'edge back' and reclaim the paths of grass overgrowth with particular emphasis nearest to residential entrances at Ballyowen View and Hermitage Way.

REPORT:

An inspection of the pathways in Hermitage Park will be carried out with a view to including them in the maintenance works programme for cleansing to include removal of leaves, grass cuttings and debris. Grass that is encroaching on footpaths will be scraped back. Every effort will be made to commence work before the Christmas break. The works are likely to extend into January due the extensive amount of paths in the park.
