Questions
To ask the Manager for a report on Village Revival for the County with a particular focus on the County Town - Tallaght Village?
To ask the Manager for an update on illegal dumping within the County - trends noted, costs incurred and the perceived negative impact on the County's environment since privatization of waste services?
To ask the Manager, in view of the fact that the Choice Based Letting system is now rolled out across all the Housing Waiting Lists, to outline when it is intended to make pin numbers available to those on the Transfer Lists, to allow them access to the Choice Based Letting system?
To ask the Manager to please indicate if any reduction can be offered to Allotment holders in the County, who are on very low income and can offer evidence of same, and are finding it difficult to meet the annual fee of €120?
To ask the Manager can he clarify and give an update on the new contract been awarded in relation to the control of horses in the county?
To ask the Manager for an update on the Greater Dublin Agglomeration Noise Plan and the next steps to be taken in addressing noise pollution identified through the mapping exercise?

Motions
MAYOR'S BUSINESS
That this Council expresses its concern regarding the resourcing of the fire service covering South Dublin County, in particular the new requirement for staff at Tallaght Fire Station to tend to fires in part of County Kildare, and calls on Dublin City Council, Kildare County Council and the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government to reconsider this requirement in light of concerns expressed by firefighters regarding the overstretching of cover for this area.
That the Manager would make a Report for discussion at the meeting on the Community Enterprise Centres in the County, which are under the remit of the Council, or in which the Council participates in partnership, including information on the number of enterprises accommodated in the Centres and the numbers employed.
That this Council supports the introduction of One Hour Free Parking in all Council controlled parking areas where charging applies.
This will provide a boost to small retail businesses, especially in our village areas and enable people to do use local shops without the fear of aggressive ticketing by parking wardens.
If passed this change would be introduced as part of the next review of the Parking Bye-Laws
That this Council calls on the Manager to offers free access to the Civic Waste Facility in Ballymount to residents in South Dublin in October, as was the case last year, in an effort to reduce illegal dumping
That this Council calls on the Manager to provide a report detailing (a) what parts of Kildare are the staff at Tallaght Fire Station serving since September 23rd 2013 and what distances are involved at the extreme end from Tallaght, (b) has there been a detailed risk assessment been carried out to ensure there is no possible negative affects on the service being provided to the Citizens of South Dublin from this Station and (c) is there financial implications either negatively or positively on the South Dublin County Council Budget as a result of this new arrangement.
That this council calls on the Manager to arrange for a yearly rotation system to be put in place in relation to road sweeping during the Autumn season. This would ensure that each area receives equitable treatment.
That this Council requests the Manager to prepare a protocol or guide on the classification of derelict sites so as to ensure consistency and provide clarity to inspectors, landowners and the public, including on the definition of factors to be assessed and considered when inspecting potentially derelict sites?
That the Manager compile a report on the feasibility of rezoning vacant/derelict sites within the county to better serve the public and their interests
That this Council calls on the Minister for State at the Department for Health, with responsibility for Primary Health Care and the National Drugs Strategy, Alex White TD, to give direction to the Local and Regional Drug Task Forces, regarding the inclusion of Alcohol in the National Drug Strategy, and to indicate to each Task Force if additional funding is to be made available to the Task Forces to develop local strategies to help combat the impact of alcohol misuse on local communities.
That this council is committed to providing the free day in the recycle centres to the community as in previous years as part of its long term campaign to reduce and eliminate illegal bonfires at Halloween
To enhance and promote voter registration/participation that this Council, in conjunction with Student Union body, consider a visible registration drive - on campus - at the various third level education facilities within the County
That this Council requests the Manager to present an update report on the reform of public realm management services, in particular litter management services; and to further request the Manager to ensure:
- the use of green machines across the county;
- more frequent targeting of litter blackspots; and
- the emptying of litter bins in busy urban areas over weekends.
That the Manager would present a Report on the review of the Council's Playground Programme, and that this Council recommends that the Manager and staff assess the existing approach of the Council to the provision of playgrounds which prioritizes the provision of regional and relatively large facilities, and reconsider an approach to provision which prioritizes small local playgrounds.
