"That this Committee notes the concerns of Gaelscoil Eiscir Riada, Lucan, parents about pedestrian safety at and near the entrance to the school, and request the Manager to initiate the process for the provision of a Pedestrian or Pelican Crossing at a location close to the entrances to An Gaelscoil and Lucan Sports and Leisure Centre."

"That this Area Committee restates its request for the immediate introduction of a school-time HGV restriction at Newcastle Road similar to that in place in Lucan Village since 2008; and noting the motion approved at the December 2012 meeting which requested the Manager “to conclude the required statutory process for introduction a school-time HGV restriction on Newcastle Road between the Nangor Road & N4 junctions”; requests the Manager:
- To confirm or clarify, clearly and unambiguously, the statement made at the December 2012 meeting to the effect that the only outstanding element of the required statutory process relates to the ongoing consultation with South Dublin Chamber;
- To report on the consultation with South Dublin Chamber;
- To immediately conclude the required statutory process with a view to bringing a report and recommendation to the Lucan Area Committee similar to the report presented to the June 2008 Lucan-Clondalkin (1) ACM on the proposed Lucan Village restriction."

"That this Committee notes the Irish Rail announcement that Hansfield Station is to open for use, and requests the Manager to write to Leo Varadker TD, Minister for Transport, pointing out to him that Hansfield Station and Kishogue Station, Lucan had been the only two unopened stations on commuter lines (the Maynooth line and the Kildare Route) serving residential areas to the west of Dublin City, which have experience rapid population growth in the last ten years, and that with the decision to open Hansfield it now makes sense to open Kishogue for use, and to ask him to intervene with Irish Rail and the NTA to bring forward the opening of Kisgogue to the early part of 2013. And that copies of the Manager's letter to the Minister be sent be sent to the Chief Executive Officers of Irish Rail and the NTA."
"That this Area Committee recognises the importance of Adamstown SDZ Planning Scheme in guiding the sustainable development to date of Adamstown, but recommends that it would be appropriate during 2013, ten years after its adoption, to review the SDZ Planning Scheme including, in particular, the phasing requirements; and to provide the residents of Adamstown an opportunity to input on the future planning of their community."
