QUESTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

"To ask the Manager to install a ramp at the Griffeen Avenue zebra-crossing?"

REPLY:

Arrangements are in hand to install additional road markings and signing at this location to encourage greater complience. As the works are largely weather dependent no firm date can be given but the works will be carried out as soon as can be arranged. The effects of these works will be monitored.

The cost of providing ramps at this location would be in excess of €12,000 and we are examining further alternatives in this regard.
