Questions
"To ask the Manager to outline the status of the Boherboy Water Scheme within the Rathfarnham area and detail any risks to the scheme in light of the status of the contractors. Can the manager also highlight any areas where works are outstanding and / or still to commence and detail of the timelines for each of these initiatives?"
"To ask the Manager to report on the Road Sweeping contract with a view to ascertaining (a) cost (b) benefits (c) results after cleaning are minimal. To state what supervision/analysis/inspection has been carried out in the past two years? and current inspection? Taking into consideration many roads virtually remain unchanged following visit of sweeper – weeds still on road; litter still on pavements; etc. etc. and to discuss if other options have been explored? To state (d) who/what department is responsible for cleaning up litter from pavements/bushes/hedges? (e) to state what department is responsible for cleaning weeds from roadside and from pavements and (f) to outline the ‘plan’ and frequency?"
"To ask the Manager for an update on the Boherboy Water Scheme (pertaining to the Rathfarnham area) to state (a) if it has exceeded budget? (b) to state finilaziation date? (c) to state implications for SDCC on recent receivership (Pierce Construction) or associated companies has for this project? .(e) to state (following inspection) what outstanding reinstatement works are outstanding in estates in the Rathfarnham area traversed by this water upgrade scheme?"

"That this Committee discusses with the aid of an up to date report the consequences of the delay in completion of Boheryboy Water Scheme on Stocking lane road works - the subsequent delay in commencing the footpath on Stocking lane, and new bus Stop adjacent to the Heath, and to state when this work as previously outlined will be commenced/completed."
"That the Manager provide reassurance to residents of Orlagh Grove and to Prospect manor with regard to the completion of outstanding works under the Boherboy Scheme."
"That this Committee discusses with the aid of an up to date report on the proposals for an upgrade for the bottle bank on Grange Road – it is an unsightly mess. Obviously negotiations with the OPW have failed? This problem is ongoing for 7 years. I had the following response on 17th Nov 2006: “With regard to the recycling unit at the corner of Grange Road and St Enda’s Park, a drawing is being prepared at present to upgrade this area. A meeting will be arranged with the residents when this is complete”
Roads
Questions
"To ask the Manger for an update on the implementation of the footpath on Stocking Lane?"
"To ask the Manager give a report on the Traffic lights at the junction of Ballyroan Road/Firhouse Road to look at the provision of a new pedestrian crossing to be incorporated in the lights system at this junction. Pedestrians crossing the road to access the Bus stop at the start of the Firhouse road find it unsafe to cross. To access the Bus stop there is no pedestrian light to do so other than the Knocklyon junction?"
"To ask the Manager for an update regarding the provision of traffic signals at the entrance to Templeroan estate given the fact that the location achieved the required count?"
"To ask the Manager to repair the railing on Ballyboden road (opposite the Topaz Garage) where we erected new pedestrian traffic lights last year?"
"To ask the Manager if there are any plans to repair the traffic calming ramps on the local roads in Rathfarnham?"

"That this Committee recommends that the Pillars at Glenlyon Estate be painted - they have been destroyed following work on QBC - the cost of a ltr. of paint would demonstrate that this Council have some consideration for those people who have 'endured' major disruption during those major roads works. There may be staff in some departments that could be seconded to do this job taking into consideration that there is no funding now for major new works."
"That the Manager look again at the street lighting between the end of Marian Crescent and Anne Devlin Drive to come up with a solution to inprove lighting in this area."
"That the Manager give an update on the taking over of Hermitage View as raised by me a number of years ago - the Manager had made contact with the Bank of ireland but has not updated the Committee for a number of meetings."
"That this Committee recommends that the Rathfarnham Parking Bye-laws schedule 2 be amended to include pay parking on Saturdays on Main Street Rathfarnham Village as requested by the Traders Association Rathfarnham village."
"That the Manager cease work on the Pay parking scheme at Owendoher Crescent Rathfarnham until an agreement has been reached with the concerns and wishes of local residents of Owendoher Crescent."
Development
Questions
"To ask the Manager to examine the derelict cottages on Whitechurch Road opposite the entrance to Willbrook Lawn with a view to outlining what the derelict status of the buildings is, their ownership, and whether it is in the power of the Council to have their facades rendered in a more atrractive finish?"

"That this Committee discusses the taking in charge of the Stonepark/Longwood open space – I was told April 2010 that “……the public open space to be transferred by the Developer on completion of both estates. The Solicitor for the Developer confirmed week-ending 2nd April 20l0 that the documentation in relation to the Deed of Tranter will be forwarded to the Council no later than Mid April 20l0.ENDS To state in the report what is causing the delay? And when you hope to have it finalized."
"That the Manager ensure that the request for tree removal by residents of Idrone Close over the last few years be finally completed in the forthcoming tree pruing/surgery season as the Residents locally all agree on the need for this and were sorely disappointed that the work was not completed last season. A petition/signed letter to this effect has been sent to the Council."
"That the Manager have the Parks Department resolve the problems with the surrounding area of the 14th Ballyroan Scout Group at Marian Road to include.
- Remove the second layer of trees nearest the surrounding wall at the park at Marian Road,
- Thin back the first layer of trees to allow line of sight to the perimeter wall of the Scout Hall to stop anti social behaviour.
- Rebuild the wall 22 meters long damaged by the tree roots in the park. This was promised by Parks Department over four years ago.
- Replace the rear broken fence 6meters long to stop intrusion onto the Scout Hall area. "
"That this Committee discusses with the aid of a co-ordinated report from each department (Environment/Roads/Parks/) the input of SDCC to Rathfarnham village environmental upgrade in conjunction with the Traders Association and the new Tidy Towns Committee; to outline what work will be undertaken by SDCC to ensure it is looking the very best for the proposed ‘fair day’ prior to Christmas."
"That the Manager follow through on the committment given by the Parks Department many, many months ago regarding the area in front of 24/25 Templeroan Green with a view to having it cleared in accordance with Resident's wishes and in consultation with them."
