QUESTION NO. 8
QUESTION: Councillor P. Cosgrave
"To ask the Manager give a report on the Traffic lights at the junction of Ballyroan Road/Firhouse Road to look at the provision of a new pedestrian crossing to be incorporated in the lights system at this junction. Pedestrians crossing the road to access the Bus stop at the start of the Firhouse road find it unsafe to cross. To access the Bus stop there is no pedestrian light to do so other than the Knocklyon junction?"
REPLY:
The existing junction at Firhouse Road/Ballyroan Road and associated Traffic signals will be upgraded as part of the Firhouse Ballycullen QBC scheme.
Facilities for Pedestrian crossings will be incorporated into the upgrade of the Traffic signals which, on completion, will allow pedestrians to safety cross the junction.
