"To ask the Manager to outline the number of users of Ballyroan Library in 2009?"
REPLY:
In 2009 286,331 items were borrowed from Ballyroan Library, 195,826 visitors came to the library and 12,804 ICT sessions were booked on the free public access computers.
1000 WiFi sessions were used and the library was opened for 52 additional hours over and above regular opening hours.
500 programmed events took place across a wide range of areas including lifelong learning, digital training, literacy events, children’s events and reading and book related activities. In December 2009 there were 19,000 registered members of Ballyroan Library.
