MOTION NO. 17
MOTION: Councillor C. Keane
"That this Committee discusses with the aid of a co-ordinated report from each department (Environment/Roads/Parks/) the input of SDCC to Rathfarnham village environmental upgrade in conjunction with the Traders Association and the new Tidy Towns Committee; to outline what work will be undertaken by SDCC to ensure it is looking the very best for the proposed ‘fair day’ prior to Christmas."
REPORT:
Contact has been made with the organising committee by the County Development Board and they have forwarded on posters for the Think Local Campaign which can be displayed by any businesses in the area.
The Council's Enviornmental Services Department will contribute insofar as possible with the necessary input/actions from Litter Wardens, Cleansing and the Graffiti Removal Crew. The Council's Parks Department will arrange to do a tidy- up of the flower bed in the Village and ensure that is is presented in an attractive manner in advance of the event.
The Council's Roads Department is reviewing the Pay and Display Parking Bye-laws in advance of the overall review which is scheduled to take place early in 20ll.
