QUESTION: Councillor E. Coburn

"To ask the Manger for an update on the implementation of the footpath on Stocking Lane?"

REPLY:

It is intended to commence the upgrade works to the footpath & cycletrack following completion of the new watermain works (Boherboy Scheme) on Stocking Lane, in order to avoid any difficulties between the two contractors. As the laying of the watermain is not yet complete, it would now appear that works to the footpath/cycletrack contract will not commence until 2011. Until the watermain works are complete, it is difficult to provide exact dates for commencement of the footpath/cycletrack upgrade.
