To ask for a new litter bin location be added to Whitechurch Green due to ongoing problems with glass and other litter.
That the Council undertake urgent pruning of the trees and hedges on Willowbank Drive near the junction of the R817 which is causing visual obstruction for drivers resulting in health and safety issues particularly during school drop of and collection times.
That this Area Committee requests the Chief Executive to inspect and cut back large overgrown trees on open green space within the Aranleigh estate that back onto homes between 104 and 164A Loreto Avenue? The large overgrown trees are within SDCC but are growing over the back gardens of the above properties.
That this Area Committee request the Public Realm to liaise with the Tallaght CFR (First Repsonders) about the feasibility of an AED (not requiring a power source) at the Weir in Dodder Valley Park.
To report on maintenance of those cycle lanes which include bollards within the LEA in terms of removing tree matter during autumn.
That this Council carries out an urgent tree safety audit at Rathfarnham Wood and carries out any necessary works arising as a result. There are concerns that many of the trees have shallow roots and may not be safe in storms and high winds. See attached photos of a tree which came down recently.
That in view of the level of opposition expressed by the local community, this Area Committee requests the Chief Executive to reconsider the decision to bring forward the proposed 3G Astro pitch in Knocklyon Park. Joint Motion with Cllr Alan Edge

Due to the ongoing unhealthy noise levels at M50 adjacent homes in Castlefields Knocklyon, to ask the Manager to provide details of the plans (with expected completion dates) for improving the sound barriers at Castlefields, in conjunction with TFI (as described in ACM December 2020), with reference to SDCC as a Noise Mapping Body under the European Noise Direction.
That the Council examines and takes water samples from the pond at Rathfarnham Castle Park, as there are concerns that there may be a blockage which could adversely affect the water quality in the pond with a resulting knock-on effect on the wildlife in and around the pond.

That this Council carries out immediate repair / remedial work on the footpath between Orchardton and Willowbank Drive following two serious falls by residents.
That the hedges on the R114 from the reservoir gates to the stone cross be trimmed as a matter of urgency given the high volume of HGVs and cyclists using this road which is narrowed owing to the overgrowth.
That the white line is repainted and stop sign replaced at the junction of Carrigwood / Woodlawn Park Grove and Ballycullen Drive.
That the Council completes the necessary and outstanding repairs to the footpath at Dangan Avenue, off Kimmage Road West, which were commenced last year but left unfinished.
That this area committee calls on the Council to make the walkway on Springfield Road between the bollards narrower and to plant small trees and shrubs at either side of a pathway, in the interest of health and safety.

To ask the Chief Executive as part of Rathfarnham Stables Part 8 application, if the buildings located on the South & Central Courtyards could be best utilised as a new hospitality/retail space, the Chief Executive's current plans for these buildings and if the new Rathfarnham Stables Part 8 will impact on the Sean Keating garden and lake, and if a full detailed statement is available?

That this Council furnishes more information in relation to the proposed development of Rathfarnham Castle Stables and outbuildings, and, specifically, why the north courtyards are being developed rather than, instead, continuing the recent development works on the south courtyard, using the north courtyards for car parking and preserving the relatively recently created and much valued Sean Keating garden.
