MOTION NO.3

MOTION: Councillor D. McManus

That this Area Committee requests the Chief Executive to inspect and cut back large overgrown trees on open green space within the Aranleigh estate that back onto homes between (numbers provided)  Loreto Avenue? The large overgrown trees are within SDCC but are growing over the back gardens of the above properties.

REPORT:

This matter has recently been brought to the attention of the Council's Public Realm Section by staff from Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council's Parks Dept. The trees located to the rear of (numbers provided) Loreto Avenue have been listed for inspection, arising from that inspection any works that are considered necessary will be prioritised accordingly.  Aranleigh Estate was last included on the Council's tree maintenance programme for the period 2020 to 2022 with works completed on that programme in 2021.
