MOTION: Councillor L. McCrave

That this area committee calls on the Council to make the walkway on Springfield Road between the bollards narrower and to plant small trees and shrubs at either side of a pathway, in the interest of health and safety.

REPORT:

 We have had no reports of safety concerns along this stretch of road and no scheme is currently planned.

While it is acknowledged that additional soft landscaping would improve the aesthetics of the area there is no resources currently allocated to this type of local improvement.
