Residents are seeking the re-installation of the large boulders which used to block the entrance to this cul de sac laneway as it appears that even when dumpers are caught in the act and evidence supplied it is not possible to address this problem.Would this be possible?"

"Could the Chief Executive ensure that the following  outstanding issues in relation to works at Newlands cross be addressed.

1. The noise emanating from the large gantry on the new flyover which affects Newlands residents at all times, but especially at night.

2. The noise that rings out when a vehicle drives over the

manhole covers on the slip road which is adjacent to the Newlands houses. The manhole covers are near to the aforementioned gantry.

3. The fact that most sections of the new footpath on the sliproad under the flyover and adjacent to the Newlands houses are badly cracked.  This is a popular walking route. Such shoddy workmanship is unacceptable."

- Exposure of live electrical mains at a children’s play area, which might easily lead to fatal injuries.

- Mounds of soil of a height in excess of 15 feet directly in front of houses, which was neither part of the planning permission, nor has been fenced off from children.

"This committee agrees that a proper footpath should be installed outside the former Esso garage on Monastery road Clondalkin and that the problem of the very steep entrance to the adjacent Monastery Heights would be addressed at the same time.   And that these works would be done at the same time as the drainage works which will once again disrupt traffic on the Monastery Road in the near future. Furthermore, this committee requests that there would  in future be more co-ordination of works to ensure that the same road is not dug up several times in close succession with all the attendant traffic disruption therein entailed."
